Three through to Ka Jive final
Three contestants on Saturday made it through to the Ka Jive Dance competition national final.
The three are Salama African Dance Crew, Adobe Dance Crew and The Incredibles who survived during eviction held at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe.
According to Timescome Bus iness Manager Heggar Kalowekamo the eviction show gave the judges of Rodgers Siula, Sipe and Ashley Phiri a tough time but at the end of it all three made it through and that they will represent Lilongwe during the national final.
The eviction in Lilongwe came barely a week after 10 contestants were booted out in Blantyre.
The three contestants who were evicted in Lilongwe on Saturday are Relapz Crew, Young We Dance Crew and TKC.
“Things are getting tougher and tougher in the competition but it’s all good, the judges are doing their job and the contestants have displayed talent,” said Kalowekamo.
He said after the eviction in Lilongwe, the show comes back to Alpacino Club 360 in Blantyre on December 12.
Blantyre is currently remaining with 12 contestants and recently Kalowekamo said that they will remain with three each from Blantyre and Lilongwe who will battle it out in the final.
Kalowekamo could however, not say when the final will take place which will see winner walking away with K1.5 million.
With Airtel Malawi as the main sponsor, Kalowekamo said they continued to splash different prizes during the eviction show in Lilongwe.
He said people walked away with among others selfie sticks, Airtel smart phones, T-shirts, caps and airtime.
“People can participate in so many ways including voting for their favourite acts by sending an SMS with the name of the group to 57777 and stand a chance to win Airtel smartphones,” said Kalowekamo.
Lulu spiced up the eviction show.
