Three to be evicted in Ka Jive Dance Contest
The road in the Ka Jive Dance competition spearheaded by Times Group through Times Television continues as the contest invades Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe Saturday.
Timescom Business Manager Heggar Kalowekamo said on Thursday that all is set for the competition where three contestants will be evicted.
The contest storms Lilongwe following another eviction last Saturday at Al Pacinos 360 in Blantyre where 12 were booted out.
With 12 evicted, Blantyre now remains with 10 contestants while in Lilongwe six are remaining following the eviction of six other contestants.
“The battle is now getting tougher and tougher; this is the second eviction in Lilongwe. People should come as usual and see the best of the dance moves from the contestants,” said Kalowekamo of the eviction show in Lilongwe to be spiced up by musician Lulu of the ‘Nzalera,’ fame.
The competition powered by Airtel Malawi and running under the slogan Tivine Zimenezi will also see people walking away with various prizes from the mobile company.
“People need to participate by among others posting pictures of themselves dancing on Instagram and twitter using the hashtag#Airtelkajive and on Facebook comment and stand a chance of winning a kajive ticket,” said Kalowekamo.
He also called on people to buy their Ka Jive ticket using Airtel Money, paying to the nickname Kajive with their name as reference.
“Through Airtel Money you will pay K800 for standard ticket and K1,500 for VIP and stand a chance of winning different prizes and again vote for your favourite group by sending the group name to 57777 and stand a chance of winning Airtel branded smartphones,” said Kalowekamo.
After the eviction in Lilongwe where three are expected to remain, the show will come back to Blantyre on December 12.
The six contestants which will battle it out in Lilongwe are Salama Dancers Crew, Incredibles, Young We Dance Crew, Adobe Dance Crew, Relapz Crew and TKC.
The co n tes tan t s in Lilongwe are battling it out on their own likewise in Blantyre.
According to Kalowekamo, they will pick the best three each in Lilongwe and Blantyre who will then battle it out during the national final.
The winner is expected to walk away with K1.5 million.
