Times Group through its Times Radio programme Bwalo la Alakatuli has created a competition that will see poets walking away with different prizes.
Producer of Bwalo la Alakatuli competition, Yankho Seunda, who is also a renowned poet and presenter, said Sunday all is set for the competition.
“Poets need to come out and enter Bwalo la Alakatulo competition. There are lots of prizes to be won and all they need to do is to send their poems to a WhatsApp number 0888811001 and when sending they should include their name and address,” Seunda said.
He said for more information poets and poetry lovers should listen to Bwalo la Alakatuli programme on Times Radio on Fridays starting 4pm and then a repeat on Sundays at 8:30am.
“Apart from rewarding poets, listeners also have a chance of winning prizes such as T-shirts and caps and this is through selection of poems of their choice. They can send the word Ndaka with the name of the poem of their choice to 1895,” Seunda said.
He said they were looking forward to the best in the competition as well as give poets a chance to show their talents.
“The competition is open to poets across the country. Listeners will vote to keep their favourite poem by texting to 1895.
The competition is expected to run for some time before presentation of the prizes to the winners.
