Times Group leads See Red Campaign
As tickets for Flames’ 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Zimbabwe start selling today, the Football Association of Malawi and Times Group have once again teamed up in Make Them See Red Campaign.
Make Them See Red Campaign, a brainchild of Times Group since 2009, is aimed at mobilising support for the Flames in 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification.
The Flames and the Warriors clash this Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre in Group L first round of the qualification phase.
In the campaign, fans are urged to wear red attire when going to the stadium in form of Flames replica jerseys or any clothes.
F am competitions manager, Gomezgani Zakazaka, said the association has printed 22, 000 tickets.
Open stands tickets are at K1,000 while the MBC Stand tickets are at K2,500.00.
Covered Stand tickets are at K5,000.00 while the VIP stand tickets are at K10,000.00.
Fam is yet to announce the designated selling points.
‘We are also considering the proposals to have the tickets selling in other cities such as Zomba and Lilongwe, hence the delay to announce the selling points,” Zakazaka said.
“But for football fans in Blantyre they can access the tickets from the selling points we already established.”
Zakazaka also pleaded with fans to buy the Flames’ replica jerseys.
‘It feels good to be cheering the team while wearing the replica jerseys and I believe patriotism cannot surpass that,” he said.
“For those who can afford, we ask them to buy the replica jersey because they are still on sale at Into Sports shops at Chichiri Shopping Mall in Blantyre and Getway Mallin Lilongwe’.
The replica jerseys are selling at K15,500.00.
