Standard Bank has said media institutions such as Times Group Limited are key to the dissemination of financial inclusion and other messages to Malawians.
Head of Brands and Marketing for Standard Bank, Nyambura Chege, made the remarks Tuesday during a tour of The Times Group head office in Blantyre.
During the tour, Chege hailed the impact of The Times Group, which is an all-round media house, on economic development of the country.
“One of the things we will be doing, going into 2023, is understanding from the media what we can do differently. We wanted to better understand the opportunities the media house can offer so that we can co-create and collaborate. If you keep doing the same things, you will not get different results. As such, we want to play our part in developing Malawi through partnering further with The Times Group,” she said.
The Times Group Chief Commercial Manager Raphael Chirwa said the media house is honoured by Standard Bank’s efforts to further its partnership with Times Group.
“We aim to continue adding value to our partners. [For staff from] the company to come to our office to familiarise themselves with the media house’s facilities, we take it as a sign of their appreciation of the services we render to the bank.
“Standard Bank is a reputable and innovative institution. Their continued working with us is highly appreciated. We aim to continue adding value to all our partners,” Chirwa said.
