Times Tv goes on DStv
After three years of leading the television broadcasting industry in the country, Times Television can now be accessed on DStv.
Chief Commercial Manager for the Times Group, Dumisani Ngulube, said yesterday the leading station can be accessed on channel 296 on DStv.
“This is a big dream which has come to pass. We have been working on it for a long time. It has been a projection since we started the TV station three years ago that we should be broadcasting on DStv by 2017 and here it has come to pass.
“We want to reach out to everyone because as the leading media brand, we are here for everyone. We are the voice of the voiceless that is why we are available on all platforms where we can be accessible,” Ngulube said.
Apart from broadcasting on analogue since its inception, Times Tv also broadcasts on Gotv, Starsat, Zuku, Azam tv, and a digital television decoder called ‘kiliye-kiliye’ among others.
Now that Times is on DStv, Ngulube said people should expect high quality programming as there will be massive improvement in a bid to keep Times Tv the number one television station.
“In the coming months, people will see great change. We will be coming with high quality contents in our programming. We will also be training our staff so that they are conversant if we are to get better results. We will also be upgrading our software and do everything possible. As we always say: leading is our way of life,” he said.
Times Television opened its doors three years ago and since then, it has been the number one television station in the country.
