Times TV partners Itel in game show
Times Television has partnered mobile phone manufacturer Itel in a game show dubbed Mwai wa Mzama which will give Malawians an opportunity to win various prizes including state of the art smart phones.
Speaking at a ceremony to award the first prize winner, Times Group Chief Commercial Manager, Dumisani Nguluwe, said the promotion will enhance Times TV’s commitment to its views to offer them a platform where they can easily access information to improve their daily lives.
“The game show will give a chance to viewers to debate various topical and general issues on television. Today, life revolves around mobile devices and we are giving 26 smart phones to the winners. We are hoping to make a difference in people’s lives as the promotion aims at improving access to vital information,” said Ngulube.
Every week, one winner will walk away with a smart phone courtesy of Itel while various others will receive consolation prizes.
Tendai Pendani emerged the first winner in last week’s promotion and walked away with a smart phone.
Pendani commended Times TV for developing the programme.
“I am impressed and overwhelmed with the prize. This gives us [viewers] a chance to continue creating linkages and be up to date on critical information,” he said.
