TNM celebrates Malawi Golf Open
The three-day Malawi Open Championship will tee off this Sunday at Lilongwe Golf Club to mark 10 years of TNM’s sponsorship.
TNM Chief Officer for Enterprise Services, Vishwajeet Deshmukh, said it was great to celebrate the uninterrupted golf sponsorship.
“The Malawi Open Golf tournament has been one of the key tournaments that has contributed to the development of golf in the country as demonstrated by the level of competition that our golfers have shown on the greens both in local and international tournaments for the past 10 years,” Deshmukh said.
He said TNM remains committed towards the development of the sport, which provides a platform for business executives to interact.
With Golf Union of Malawi (GUoM) as hosts of the competition, TNM will sponsor the event under the auspices of its Digital Transformation campaign.
“Through the digital transformation campaign, TNM has taken a step to introduce digital services, by digital we mean the broad range of technologies and applications that enable greater efficiency and automation, better decision making, and stronger relationship with customers and other external stakeholders,” Deshmukh said.
GUoM President, Frank Mvalo, hailed TNM’s contribution towards development of golf in Malawi.
“TNM has been with us for the past 10 years and has shown passion and commitment in developing golf in the country as it came into our rescue when the union had no sponsorship for the largest golf tournament in the county,” Mvalo said.
Mvalo expressed optimism that the partnership will continue as the union strives to develop golf.
