TNM invests K15m in Kumbali sports arena
Domestic mobile phone services operator, TNM has invested K15 million in the uplifting of Kumbali Village volleyball and football infrastructures in Lilongwe.
The investment is meant to transform the facility into a top-class sports arena.
The new infrastructure was unveiled over the weekend during the finals of a Five –Aside soccer and volleyball finals at Kumbali Village.
Speaking during the handover, TNM head of Lilongwe district, Danny Malisita, said the company wants to transform the facility.
“TNM is excited to partner with Kumbali Village through these recreational facilities that provide social interaction platform to our customers. Our sponsorship is also meant to show our appreciation to the support which we get from customers,” Malisita explained.
“TNM continues to enjoy overwhelming support from its customers who have made the company grow, hence the need to interact with them and hear how they feel about the TNM brand. We have seen the importance of interacting with them while sporting.”
For the past two years, TNM has been one of the major sponsors of sports activities at Kumbali.
Traditional Authorities emerged champions of the Five-Aside football tournament followed by BMI, whereas Velvet Panthers were crowned volleyball champions followed by Italian Job.
