TNM promotions surpass expectations


Telecom Networks Malawi (TNM) says the on-going Predict and Win and Sapota Kawawa promotions have surpassed the company’s expectations.

The promotions were launched to create a platform for football supporters’ involvement in the 2016 TNM Super League season.

In the Predict and Win, fans predict results through SMS and in Sapota Kawawa, they post on the social media their pictures captured from stadiums.


TNM’s Senior Manager (Business Services), Limbani Nsapato, speaking during the sixth monthly draw at the company’s headquarters in Blantyre on Tuesday, said the promotions had generated excitement among the supporters.

“We are very encouraged with the participation levels as evidenced by the number of predictions that we are getting from our customers. I would like to, therefore, call on all soccer lovers to continue participating in these engaging promotions and showcase their prediction instincts,” he said.

Nsapato said TNM has, so far, given out cash prizes to 40 winners, amounting to K2.4 million, and airtime to 340 supporters.


During Sunday’s match, which saw Nyasa Big Bullets defeating Mafco 2-0, out of 10,811 predictions, 830 got it right.

In the game which Kamuzu Barracks won 4-2 against Silver Strikers, out of 6,667 predictions, only four got it right while the game between Dwangwa and Mzuni (1-1) out of 6,710 predictions, 491 were correct.

Nsapato encouraged the fans to make use of the remaining league games to increase chances of winning the ultimate K1.5 million grand prize.

During the latest draw, Josephy Walumbe, a Be Forward Wanderers’ fan, who works as a driver at Chancellor Collage in Zomba, won K100,000 monthly prize for predicting right the match involving Mzuni and Wizards.

A Silver supporter, Gift Sinoweza, of Likuni, Lilongwe won K50,000.
