TNM salutes Be Forward Wanderers
Tributes continue flowing to Be Forward Wanderers following their 2017 Super League title triumph, and the latest to shower the team with praises is the league’s sponsor, TNM.
TNM, through Chief Officer (Consumer Services) Daniel Makata, has congratulated the Nomads for winning the championship for the first time since 2006.
“The Be Forward Wanderers family clinched the title after putting in an extraordinary effort. The team displayed hard-work, good organisation and consistency. They remained resilient to pressure on and off the pitch. We, at TNM, believe that discipline was key to the team’s success and we would like to hail the spirit,” Makata said in a press release issued Tuesday.
Makata commended the high level of competition in the league, saying “it is clear that the Super League is achieving its goal of developing football standards in Malawi”.
Makata said TNM keenly awaits Wanderers’ participation in the Confederation of African Football (Caf) Champions League.
“We wish them well as they take part in the continental league. As a brand, we are humbled that TNM sponsorship of the league is now producing international standard teams. We would also like to congratulate Masters Security as they, too, prepare to compete in Caf Cup Winners’ Cup [Confederations Cup] and further wish well all subsequent teams that will join the league within the coming year,” he said.
TNM sponsors the league to the tune of K90 million per year.
