To Russia with KIA
HTD KIA Motors Wednesday unveiled Ewen Hiwa and Hebert Dilawo as the winners of the company’s ‘KIA Lucky Drive to Russia’ promotion.
The competition, which began on April 24 and ended on May 20, gave football lovers a life-time chance to watch the Fifa Confederations Cup scheduled for Russia from June 17 to July 2.
Understandably, Hiwa was happy to emerge the winner during the draw at KIA offices in Ginnery Corner, Blantyre.
“I found out about the competition when I brought my car at HTD KIA Motors for servicing and decided to try my luck. I am excited with the adventure in Russia as well as watching the finals live,” Hiwa said.
Austin Zida, representing the Lilongwe-based Dilawo, was equally thrilled to emerge winner. The winners will leave for Russia on June 30 and return home on July 5.
“Competitions such as this boost the brand of a company and raise awareness of different car brands in the country. I am glad that they promoted a good football event and I would encourage more companies to do the same” he said.
The company’s Workshop and Services Manager, Nathan Thomas, said the competition was aimed at offering football fans an opportunity to witness the cup.
“HTD KIA is the only automotive car dealership that sponsors Fifa, the international governing body for football. The likelihood of another promotion to attend the 2018 World Cup is high,” he said.
The promotion attracted 200 entries. Bonifaso Chiputu, Licensing Officer of National Lottery Board, endorsed the promotion.
