Toast resurfaces

TOAST—I am now fully
charged

By Chris Loka

Award-winning rapper Gomezgani Kambwiri, commonly known as Toast is back into the fold after a long break.

The youthful artist has promised people more vibes this year.

He has since dropped a single titled ‘Angels,’ which encourages people to appreciate those who contribute to their growth in life.

The track has been produced by Tonic City and ChuxTpatseplan with the video by Ron CZ.

Toast said he took a break to refresh and reflect on his music career. He also said academic commitments kept him busy.

“I am now fully charged to give fans the best of my music. There is a lot coming and ‘Angels’ is just an appetiser,” Toast said.

Toast started writing and recording music in 2009 under the group Thug Assembly. He later split from the group with fellow group member T1 and formed a duo called Street Fame before going solo.

He has over the years claimed Urban Music People (UMP) accolades such as Best Hip-Hop award (2018) and Most Fashionable Celebrity (2019).

His debut EP Dittah (Don’t Try This at Home) features award-winning South African hip-hop artist Kwesta with one of the tracks ‘Shasha’ also claiming Best Collaboration in 2020 during the Malawi Hip- Hop Awards.
