Tonse Alliance lobbies for votes in lower Shire Valley

Chikwawa Nkombezi member of Parliament, Abida Mia has urged people in the districts of Chikwawa and Nsanje to vote for Tonse Alliance if the country is to see development.
Mia said this when she distributed relief maize in her constituency where she also addressed a rally.
She said it is only Tonse Alliance Torchbearer Lazarus Chakwera who can bring about meaningful change.
She added that people in the area have for long been left out of development initiatives as if they do not have a government.
“If you really need development, in terms of infrastructure, maize, electricity, schools, medicines, then you should vote for Dr Lazarus Chakwera and Dr Saulos Klaus Chilima,” Mia said.
A member of the community, Mathews Zambezi said they are ready to see meaningful change, adding that already, through the initiative of Mia, most projects in the area which were abandoned have been completed and new projects are taking shape.
“We have seen seven locations where Under five clinics have started being constructed, a hospital at Therere, police units in three areas and she is also helping us with relief food,” Zambezi explained.
Malawi is expected to vote on Tuesday, June 23.
