Two win with South African Airways

THREE people have won return air tickets to South Africa in the first draw of South African Airway’s (SAA) Win a Dream Holiday promotion. The promotion was launched as part of SAA’s celebrations to mark 59 years of doing business in Malawi.

SAA Malawi Sales Executive, Wezi Mungoni, said South Africa was chosen as a destination for the winners because SAA has partnered with well-experienced ground tour operators who provide information on accommodation and tours for passengers travelling for holiday.

“Time and again we advertise for holiday packages which are available all year long. These include air tickets and accommodation, not only in South Africa, but even beyond and the advantage is that all this is paid for in Malawi Kwacha through South African Airways hence we felt the need to reward some Malawians to have a chance to experience all that SAA has on offer,” she said.

The grand draw will see three people winning two return tickets to Cape Town and two return tickets to Johannesburg plus three nights’ accommodation which will include bed, breakfast, and airport transfers.

South African Airways has selected the best five star hotels in South Africa for the customer’s enjoyment.

“We urge Malawians to take advantage of SAA’s competitive fares currently on offer in order to take part in this competition.  Prizes for the past promotions were restricted to air tickets but, this time, we have added accommodation for the winners’ comfort and airport transfers have also been arranged.

“Considering that good things are mostly enjoyed with good company, we are giving the winner an extra ticket for someone to accompany them,” Mungoni said.

One of the patrons, Sylvia Newa, a Travel Consultant at Orient Travel and Tours said such competitions excite customers. The promotion was launched in May and will run up to August. To enter, passengers are required to fill an entry form when purchasing an air ticket through a SAA office or their preferred travel agent.

SAA’S affiliation with Star Alliance, the world’s largest international airline network, provides customers with access to a total of 1,300 airports in 190 countries.

SAA has connected Malawi to the world through its hub in Johannesburg giving Malawians and the rest of Africa access to air travel than ever before, and the world-class customer experience offered has ensured that it remains an airline of choice for so many travellers.
