Malawi Telecommunication Limited (MTL) has launched a MiNITE bundle which will allow its customers get unlimited access to the internet from 6pm to 7am every day.
The MiNITE bundle, according to MTL, will allow customers to have unlimited high quality, high speed broadband Internet with speeds of up to 10 megabytes per second at night with a validity of 30 days.
It also comes with five gigabytes for daytime usage and costs K30, 000 only.
MTL chief commercial officer, Gladson Kuyeri, said that in December 2014 MTL commissioned a new charging system that allowed it to offer its services based on customer usage.
He said this led to introduction of variety of data bundles.
“This migration in charging systems has proven to be successful as currently over 90 percent of our retail customers are accessing the Internet through bundle subscription,” said Kuyeri.
He said feedback from customers indicates that demand sti l l exists for an unlimited option for Internet access.
Kuyeri said the introduction of MiNITE bundle will allow MTL to cater for customers who required affordable, high volume internet usage without compromising on speed and quality.
The MiNITE bundle can be accessed by MTL internet customers using WiMax and EDVO Routers and Dongles as well as ADSL connectivity or using the prepaid portal on the MTL website or in any MTL Service Centre.
