“We are proud, as a company, to be associated with the development of netball in the country. We believe the donation will go a long way in uplifting the performance of the team,” Mupfurutsa said.

He said this year, the company is celebrating 15 years of doing business in Malawi as well as the winning of the Life Assurance of the Year 2015 accolade by the Global Banking and Finance.

“We believe we need to celebrate the two successes with the communities in which we operate, hence the donation,” Mupfurutsa added Thunder Queens came third in the recently held Presidential Netball Trophy.

She said the team is facing challenges as it goes into a tight netball schedule in the coming weeks, starting with Airtel Money netball challenge.

“This is a morale booster for us and we promise to work extra hard to show Vanguard that we are the best in netball in the country,” Kachilika said.
