NGOMA —I have lots of
songs

Former Makasu member Wallace Ngoma last Thursday performed at Sounds of Malawi Acoustic Session at Jacaranda Cultural Centre in Blantyre.

The veteran trumpeter reminded people of the good old days when he was starring for Makasu as he served some of the tracks done by the group and also moved on to play other covers.

Before his performance, the audience enjoyed a set from Goma Nyondo.

Ngoma, who in Makasu Band performed with late Bright Livewire Nkhata, said the support he received during the show has motivated him to offer more.

He said that he was looking for support to go to the studio and record his own songs.

“I have lots of songs but, in these modern days, you have to invest a lot of money to record songs. I do not have enough money at the moment,” Ngoma said.

Host Waliko Makhala said they have cast their net wider and that people will sample performances from different artists both old and new.

The platform tomorrow features Themba Band, a group that performs on the street.
