Victor Limbani considers options

Free agent Victor Limbani says he is yet to decide on his next destination, two months after Silver Strikers released him.

Limbani was among 20 players that Silver offloaded as part of their restructuring.

The former Nyasa Big Bullets midfielder said he was still hunting for a club and was not in a hurry.

“There are several teams that are interested in my services but I have told them that I want to consult my family first before making a decision. Now, with the suspension of all football games, I am not in hurry to make a decision. I still believe time is on my side,” he said.

Limbani, who made his TNM Super League debut at the defunct Blantyre United, joined Silver together with striker Tizgobere Kumwenda after a two-year stay at Bullets.

The two jumped ship after the People’s Team failed to offer them contracts. Kumwenda left Silver in the 2018 season and joined Kasungu-based TN Stars last season.

Both players were part of Bullets’ Caf Champions League squad in 2015. Kumwenda scored the lone goal as Bullets claimed a 1-0 victory away over Fomboni FC of Comoros Islands.

While at Silver, Limbani won the Airtel Top 8 Cup twice in the inaugural 2017 and last year. He proved to be an important player for the Central Bankers on both cup triumphs as he contributed goals at regular intervals.

He scored the vital goal for Silver as they knocked out Bullets 1-0 in the semifinals of the 2018 Airtel Top 8 Cup.

Limbani was, however, deemed surplus to requirements alongside Hygiene Mwandepeka after Silver roped in Zambian coach Daniel Kabwe on a two-year contract.
