Victor Maunde replaces Steve Madeira
By Mphatso Malidadi:

Be Forward Wanderers have named Victor Maunde as the club’s new team manager, replacing Steve Madeira who resigned last month.
Wanderers Chairperson, Gift Mkandawire, said Maunde is on probation for an undisclosed duration before he is confirmed.
“Basically, we wanted to reason with Madeira to come back because we felt the reasons he gave us were not convincing. However, after considering his [Madeira] status, we paused the idea on security grounds.
Nevertheless, we have settled for Victor Maunde because of his passion, maturity and that he is available. He is on probation for the rest of the season and, if he fits, the Executive Committee will likely make him a permanent manager,” he said.
Maunde, who is also an Executive Committee member for Wanderers, said he was delighted with his new position.
“I want to serve the interests of the club by impressing all major stakeholders—be it players, fans, sponsors and my fellow Executive Committee members,” he said.
Maunde was also part of the 2017 Wanderers awards organising committee.
