BE Forward Wanderers forgotten attacker, Victor Mpinganjira, is on the verge of completing a three month loan move to Civo United.
Mpinganjira, who has been reduced to a bench-warmer this season, was an unused substitute in Saturday’s Carlsberg Cup final against Big Bullets, which the Nomads won 2-1.
On Wednesday, Civo general secretary, Rashid Ntelera said: “We started negotiations with Wanderers and Super League of Malawi (Sulom) before the transfer window closed.
We might conclude the deal by the end of this week. Discussions are at an advanced stage.” Wanderers’ general secretary, Mike Butao, was not available for a comment yesterday.
However, Wanderers recently announced that some fringe players would be loaned out to regain confidence.
Mpinganjira was one of the players that Wanderers wanted to include in the deal to bring John Lanjesi to the club. But the deal collapsed.
In a related development, Silver Strikers have confirmed that veteran defender Davie Moya is back after two-year stint with Epac. Silver general secretary, Fred Kalonga, said yesterday: “He will be part of the team in the second round of the TNM Super League.”
