Vigro, DJ Buckz to star at Cooler Box Festival
Music lovers in the country have a chance to sample the performance of South African artist DJ Buckz, who has featured in a number of music videos including ‘Y-tjukutja’.
DJ Buckz will share the stage with fellow South African act Vigro Deep, famous for producing Amapiano hits, during shows over the weekend including at Cooler Box Festival.
The first show is tonight at Mingle in Lilongwe before dating Scallas Café in Blantyre Saturday at Cooler Box Festival.
Event organiser and coordinator of the event DJ Maya said the events were previously postponed due to Covid.
“It’s been tough with Covid and, now that things have returned to normal with a decrease in cases, we had to bring them back in a better way,” he said.
DJ Maya said Cooler Box Festival is a rare event that will give patrons an opportunity to bring their own drinks in a cooler box.
“Through this platform, we are giving a chance to people to bring their own drinks to a party. We do not have this in other events. So, people get to party by enjoying music and then their own drinks,” he said.
Other artists performing at Cooler Box Festival include Suffix, Leslie as well as DJs Reubie, Wayne and Flame.
