Lilongwe-based musician Vincent Kadzakumanja has featured Amapiano star Avokado, Joe Kellz and Blaq Kings in his new song titled ‘Mundikumbukire’.
The song, to be released tomorrow, has been produced by Blaq Kings, who is based in South Africa, and Malonie.
Kadzakumanja said yesterday that he decided to work with the three artists as part of growing his music and also expanding his base.
“I want to be on another level. I have done different tracks, released singles and albums but, this time, I thought of doing things differently by featuring Avokado, Blaq Kings and Joe Kellz,” he said.
The musician also said he worked with the three artists to show people his seriousness in his artistry and that he wants to give people something differently always.
He said the song looks at a person who had been praying hard for a breakthrough but his prayer is not being answered.
“At times, we lose hope when we pray to God and are not being given the things we are asking for and, yet, some of our friends are being answered. But God will never forsake us. He answers at the right time,” he said.
Kadzakumanja further said the track is unique in that he teamed up with different artists.
He said the track has its own feel as the different artists have also done their part, explaining how they grew up and how people they met in life were living daily.
Avokado, who has been in the limelight with Amapiano songs, said he was happy to work with Kadzakumanja and share his talent.
“I am happy to have played a part in this project. We, as artists, need to work together and, that way, you create something which is unique,” he said.
