Singer Wallace Salanje has collaborated with two international artists in his two nasheeds (songs), which are part of his upcoming album to be released in June this year.
Salanje, a well-known nasheed artist and Muslim Artists Association publicist, said he had collaborated with South African nasheed artist Idrissa Ayatu and Tanzanian artist Esir Elfannan Mtasha.
“This is a milestone for me in as far as my music career is concerned,” Salanje said.
Salanje, who is known for recording Yao nasheeds, has three albums to his credit namely Chipitileje Kwapi Chiwa, Tauba and Mbiya.
The new album, titled Iman (faith), has 10 tracks.
The artist has since lauded music lovers for supporting him through thick and thin.
“Some have asked me to feature in their songs while others have been featuring my songs. Some of them have been inviting me to perform at their shows and this has also contributed to the growth of my music career. I don’t take their support for granted,” Salanje said.
Salanje, who is also a visual artist, started his music career in 2012.
