Financially troubled Be Forward Wanderers have revealed plans to release three senior players whose contracts expired.
Some of the players whose contract expired include captain Alfred Manyozo, Francis Mlimbika, Stanley Sanudi, Isaac Kaliati and Zicco Mkanda but it is unlikely that the five would be released.
Wanderers General Secretary, Victor Maunde, while promising to keep their top players, was not in a position to disclose the identity of the players who will be released.
Maunde said the development follows a meeting, which was held on Wednesday, which also agreed to loan out one player.
“During the meeting we also looked at the report from the technical team. We agreed to let go three players and loan out another player. However, I can’t reveal the names of the players because we need to alert them and also arrange logistics,” Maunde said.
The Nomads regrouped on Monday ahead of the 2020 soccer season.
