Lilongwe-based duo of Symon Kamlaka and Kendall Kamwendo have called on people to refrain from ‘killing’ people through social media.
The two artists said people should use social media for the right purposes and not post ‘fake news’.
“People killed us on social media in 2019 but here we are and God is faithful we are in 2020,” Symon said.
Symon and Kendall shared the stage with Zambia’s Organised Family and Thomas Chibade at Club 24/7 in Blantyre on New Year’s eve.
The show went all the way to New Year’ Day with Symon and Kendall dishing out some of their songs including some from their latest album Natalia, which they released last year.
“It’s been two years since we performed in Blantyre and so we are happy to have entertained people and ushered them into the New Year. This is just the beginning, there is more to come,” Kendall said.
There were showers during the show but this did not stop people from enjoying the vibes at the venue.
Having released Natalia last year, Kendall, said they were targeting to release more songs this year.
“People should just watch the space otherwise we have more surprises,” Symon said.
