Musician Wendy Harawa, who went to seal a deal for Sand Music Festival with one-half of disbanded Nigerian musical giant P Square, Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, said Monday that the artist would come as a solo artist.
While in Nigeria, Wendy met both Mr P and his brother Paul better, known as Rudebouy, but ruled out the fact that all of them will come to perform at this year’s Sand Music Festival set for October 1 to 3 at Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi District.
“I sealed the deal with Mr P. As for Paul, I had to meet him for a different project which I will announce soon,” Wendy said.
Mr P has been billed as a headliner for the festival on the first day, with headliners for Saturday and Sunday set to be announced later.
“I must mention that the two being back together is now one of my prayer petitions. Peter has been my friend for years and now I am knowing Paul a little more,” she said.
Wendy has been on an international expedition which has seen her collaborating with Kenya’s Guardian Angel releasing the track ‘Akuwona’, Namibia’s Maranatha Goroh dropping ‘Kuhamberera’ and the latest ‘Zikomo’ with Uganda’s Levixone.
