‘Which Bible verse says Big Bullets can’t lose?’

Nyasa Big Bullets Head Coach, Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan, is calm despite a slow start to the season, saying football is always associated with pressure.

The Burundian was reacting to questions if he was under pressure following back-to-back defeats.

Last week, Bullets lost 0-1 to Moyale Barracks in the TNM Super League before going down to Silver Strikers by a similar margin in the Airtel Top 8 Cup first -leg quarter-final match at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday.

But despite a blunt striking force which has gone three consecutive games without a goal, Ramadhan said he would turn the corner.

“In football, there is always pressure. If you are not playing with pressure in football then there is no football. A big team will always overcome such situations,” he explained.

“Can you give me a verse in the Bible which says Bullets will never lose a game? Tell me one verse in the Bible or whichever. Any team will always go through a bad time, so it is not only Bullets. If go back, you will see either Real Madrid or Barcelona losing 3-0, so it is part of football. Soon, we are going to turn the corner.”

Heading into the second leg of the Airtel Cup quarterfinal, Bullets need

to score two goals to overturn the deficit.

Bullets are struggling to score despite boasting seven strikers— Muhammad Sulumba, Diverson Mlozi, Bright Munthali, Collen Nkhulambe, Mussa Manyenje, Bernard Chimaimba and Davie Banda.

Ramadhan has a tough task to sharpen his striking force before the season gets out of hand.
