The grand finale of the Miss Culture Malawi 2022 will be held tomorrow at Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre with 15 contestants battling it out for the crown.
Lush Africa Foundation has once again teamed up with Amaryllis Hotel to host the Miss Culture Malawi beauty pageant to be graced by Minister of Tourism, Culture and Wildlife Michael Usi.
The beauty pageant attracted 175 contestants before the number was trimmed to 15 finalists. The 15 finalists are Alinafe Chunga, Callista Kachulu, Christina Mabvuto, El-Shaddai Masauli, Eunice Senzani, Florence Mkandawire, Hazel Lwanda, Madalo Malunga, Memory Sanjira, Mildred Mungoshi, Rookiah Jussab, Ruth Masamba, Tenjiwe Loya, Susan Moyo and Yvonne Chanache.
Miss Culture Global Chief Executive Officer and Lush Africa Foundation founder, Lorraine Kljajic said they were excited to bring the Miss Culture Malawi once again.
“We will be embarking on cancer awareness campaigns with the new queen working with our partners Dream Malawi and Lush Africa Foundation,” Kljajic, who is based in Netherlands, said.
The 15 finalists are coming from Mzuzu, Mangochi, Lilongwe, Blantyre and South Africa.
The winner is expected to get among others a four year full board scholarship with Exploit University, one year supply of cosmetics from Bella Cosmetics, shoes from Nagowa and Mkhwayila, clothing sponsorship from Erima Investment and prizes from Mayi Cosmetics.
Miss Culture Malawi National Director Madalo Mkuwu said the 15 finalists started boot camp on Wednesday and that during the finale; they will parade in the categories of sports, office, traditional and evening wears.
The outgoing Miss Culture Malawi is Marumbo Mtonga, who last year represented the country at the Miss Culture International
