HS Winehouse in Blantyre, which has opened its doors to arts activities, has said it is open to all artistic disciplines.
The entertainment outfit’s publicist Emmanuel Maliro said on Tuesday they would want to give people a variety of activities.
“We are a hub of all artistic disciplines and this is why we created the platform arts activities. It is not only music. But at the moment musicians are the ones who have been coming forth. We just want to call upon artists out there to come forward, let people sample their works and it works better when there is variety,” Maliro said.
Last Sunday the venue attracted an impressive audience with the performance of Lilongwe-based musician Lulu who shared the stage with other artists such as legendary Snowden Ibbu, Ufa Wa Mtedza Band and Neil Nayar.
The venue has hosted comedians, poets and musicians so far since it started its arts activities.
On Easter Sunday, HS Winehouse will treat people to an acoustic set of musician Find Codi real name Chikondi Suleman.
