Wizards FC eye top-8
Following their dramatic return to the TNM Super League, Wizards FC have outlined plans to finish among top-eight sides this season.
Initially, Wizards were relegated, but they were offered a lifeline after Super League of Malawi and its affiliates agreed to increase the number of teams from 15 to 16.
With such a background, Wizards Technical Director, Peter Mponda, said the team was aiming for a top half-finish this season.
“We don’t want to be involved in relegation battle again. We have set a top-eight finish as our target and we are optimistic that we will deliver,” he said.
Mponda’s charges recovered on time following their Presidential Cup exit to exact revenge against Max Bullets with Franklin Mulimanjira scoring a brace.
Wizards are on position 12 with six points from five games.
