Women’s network bails out student

Global Women’s Leadership Network- Malawi Sister Society has rescued a Chikwawa District girl who appealed for support to pursue college education.
The gesture follows a story which our sister paper, Malawi News, published, in which Emmaculate Makhuno appealed to well-wishers to assist her with tuition fees to study agriculture economics at Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Network members have, as a result, made a part payment of tuition fees, accommodation and also provided the girl with groceries.
“We want her to achieve her dreams in life, hence the support,” said Triza Magreta, who is the organisation’s chairperson.
Makhuno was delighted with the gesture.
“I plead with other well-wishers to reach out to people like me and all girls that are in need of financial assistance,” she said.
