Worldwide partners MMM for Europe trials

International scouting agency, Worldwide Soccer Trials, has partnered a local organisation Mpira Mmudzi Mwathu (MMM), in conducting two-day football trials at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
Former Inter Milan and AC Milan Technical Director Raffaele Paolino is expected to lead the exercise that starts tomorrow.
Paolino said they partnered MMM to woo kids to undergo the trials, which are considered a gateway to Europe.
“These are open trials for young and up-and-coming players in Malawi. MMM deals with kids; so, we hope parents that are longing to help their children realise their professional football dreams in Europe will be sent to attend.
“Outstanding and promising youngsters will be given scholarships or links with elite European clubs and universities worldwide. Besides that, players who will attend the trials will have an opportunity for a direct invitation to a designated club for trials in Europe and will also have a hi-performance elite training with a top Uefa-licenced coach,” he said.
MMM founder Chimango Munthali said they have partnered Worldwide in an on-going endeavour to expose as many young talented Malawians who are ready to compete with the world’s best as possible.
“We have an objective to expose young ones in their pursuit for a football career. Through our partnership, Mpira Mmudzi Mwathu has lobbied for 25 free slots for underprivileged talented kids who cannot afford to pay. As such, we are working with Football Association of Malawi to identify 25 kids for this purpose,” Munthali said.
According to the arrangement, the players will have an opportunity for selection to World Wide Soccer’s opportunities.
Players from 10 to 21 years are eligible for the trials.
Paolino is highly rated, having played for Cagliari and Inter Milan as striker.
He is a Uefa top-level licenced coach with over 25 years of experience with Serie A academy training and development
