Writer publishes book to empower women

In a drive aimed at bringing about change and empowering fellow women, writer Sharon Chirwa has published a book titled Becoming Wise and Noble Woman.
Chirwa, a former African Bible College student, said, through the book, she wants to encourage women to believe in themselves and never cease to trust God in everything.
She said the book, which has taken her close to two years to put together, is giving hope to women “that it is possible to break through and make it big in life”.
According to her, the book was inspired by the book of Proverbs in the Bible.
“I got inspiration from Proverbs 31 which says many women and young ladies are facing a lot of challenges but have no clue on how to deal with them,” Chirwa said.
She further said that, being a woman, she knows some of the challenges women face.
“So, in the book, I have come up with some possible solutions to the challenges and the key thing lies in being a proverbs 31 woman,” Chirwa said.
“Not only women; men, as well, are going through trying moments and, in the book, there is another part that men can also benefit from in as far as overcoming some challenges is concerned”.
The 150-page book, published by Likuni Press, covers topics such as ‘Overcoming Issues and Circumstances’, ‘Becoming A Woman of God’, ‘Relationship and Marriage’ and ‘Rising Up Again’ and ‘Accepting God’s Will’.
Chirwa will launch the book on December 16 at Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe.
