Yang Chitika collaborates with Jamaican artist

RASSI—I believe that I will contribute to the next evolution of dancehall music

The country’s artist Yang Chitika has collaborated with Jamaican artist Rassi doing a remix of the track ‘Heart Beat’.

The singer and guitarist, said he was happy to work with the Jamaican artist adding that this was part of growing his music.

Inspired by artists such as Code Sangala, Chitika has developed a passion to learn how to play a guitar apart from just being a vocalist.

He has spent most of his time playing in a church band from 2009 to enhance his skills and serve God at the same time.

“I am looking forward to doing more. I am happy with the progress I am making in music. The song is ready,” Chitika said.

Rassi real name, Rassi Jarrett, is a dancehall artist whose innovative lyrical contents and flows are forged by his daily experiences.

Born on September 7 1993 in a small town called Bull Bay, which is located in the eastern region of St Andrew, the artist, has grown up loving music.

He respects musical heavyweights such as Shabba Ranks, Buju Banton and Vybz Kartel.

“I believe that I will contribute to the next evolution of dancehall music,” Rassi said.
