Yankho Seunda to drop poetry single
Promising poet Yankho Seunda has revealed that he will release his poetry single Sometimes tomorrow.
Seunda, who recently warmed up the stage for fellow poet Q Malewezi’s launch of his People album in Blantyre, said he wants to give out more to the people.
“This year alone I have released two singles Expectations and Mwabwerako and so Sometimes is the third. I am working hard to bring out more so people should just watch the space,” the youthful poet said.
Seunda said it has been sometime since he released an album and that he is currently working on a new one.
“I have an album Draining Sensations, it has nine poems, it was released in 2014 but was never launched eventually due to lack of resources,” he said.
Seunda said the forthcoming album was bound to be released towards the end of this year but due to some challenges he is considering releasing it next year.
“Thieves broke into my house and went away with various electronic gadgets including my laptop where there was all my unreleased poems and so I haven’t recovered. But I am happy I am taking the right direction,” he said.
Listening to Sometimes, one gets the creative side of Seunda, who using his strong voice tackles different issues including love.
