Zambian Afro-Pop artist Yo Maps will tonight headline the Finally Amplified show at Culture Club in Kasungu organised by Lilongwe-based Focus 265 Management.
The Zambian artist is expected to share the stage with the country’s acts among them, Jay Jay Cee, Don Tarz, King Chambiecco, DJ Tawa, Toria, Brinah and TM Kay.
The artist was expected to arrive in the country yesterday ahead of the show.
Yo Maps said on his social media page that he was excited to perform in the country and called on people to come in large numbers and enjoy his vibes.
Some of the songs he is set to dish out during the show include ‘Kaleza’, Season’, ‘Yanga’ and ‘Osandisiya’.
Finally Amplified is Focus 265 Management’s fourth big show. The company also hosted another Zambian artist B1 two months ago and has also done 66 shows for Glam n Glory.
Apart from organising music shows, Focus 265 Management also sponsors and manages local artists.
The company has contracts with three female up-and-coming artists namely Toria, Brinah and TM Kay.
“We are an entertainment company; we want to bridge the gap. It has always been a problem for local and international artists to organise shows on their own, so we thought of exploring that area” Sandra Nsonga, Focus 265 Management’s representative, said.
Nsonga also revealed that the company plans to hold a number of high-profile events.
“We are mainly focusing on up-and-coming artists who are easier to manage. After we are satisfied with their branding and performance ability, we will then start doing shows for them,” she said.
