The country’s South Africa-based female musician Zani Challe has received a nomination in the African Social Entertainment Awards (Ase Awards) whose grand finale will be held on June 30 in South Africa.
The artist, real name Zani Chiumia, announced on her Facebook page that she had been nominated in the Ase Awards in the Best Female Artist category.
This is not the first time for the artist to receive a nomination as, last year, she was also nominated in the African Music Industry Awards (Amiawards) in the category of Best Female Newcomer category.
The artist also once got a nomination in the African Muzik Magazine Awards (Afrimmas) but missed out on the award.
Zani is well known for her song ‘Single Tonight’, in which she featured Nigerian musician Patoranking.
In 2016, the singer also received a nomination in the Africa Music Awards (Afrima) but she missed out on the award.
The singer has also received nominations on the local front, including in the Urban Music Party Awards which have rebranded to Urban Music People.
“Good morning. I have been nominated in the Asea Awards in the best female artist category. I would appreciate your support,” she said.
The musician has called upon people to support her by voting so that she comes out the victor, however voting is restricted to people in South Africa.
“You can vote multiple times until 28th June 2019. Thank you for your support,” Zani said.
