“Malawians lets be open, there are a lot of things happening, and we have a very rich culture. Today, we saw the culture of our friends from the Indian community from their dressing, food and the activities they do and the like,” she said.

She said Malawi needs to come up with such events like Malawian Nights where it should show its culture to the world.

Hazel, who was the master of ceremonies and also dressed in Asian attire, said it was important for MultiChoice to bring forth this event.

“Basically, this event was all about the Zee World channel which our survey has indicated that it is the most loved. So through this platform we wanted people to experience various things like cooking dancing and many others,” said Nyirenda.

He said Zee World is a family entertainment channel where, among others, people watch different series.

Nyirenda also said through this event they wanted to embrace the social media which people are using more now revealing that they invited people through the social media.

During the event, some people were voted the best in dressing while others excelled in telling stories on some of the series on Zee World.

Zee World is a channel which is available on GOtv plus channel 25 and DStv on channel 166.

Some of the series that it shows include Saloni, Laali, The Promise and Destiny with a wide collection of Bollywood movies.
