Zig Zero resurfaces

the best artists in Malawi and abroad
United States of America (USA)-based musician Joseph Alufandika, also known as Zig Zero, has reappeared with a new album titled Koma Yah Koma Yes.
The rebranded artist comes back into the limelight after a long break and has since promised more positive vibes.
“My music is now about making people dance and enjoy life. I have perfected my style and now I believe I sound as much as I look. More mature,” he said.
The artist said Covid restrictions have also influenced his comeback, saying he had enough free time to craft new songs.
“Covid has affected businesses worldwide and I decided to use some of my free time to work on my new songs with the help of my fiancée who also gave me all the required motivation. It’s been far too long and it’s about time I came back,” Alufandika said.
The artist has since gone on a drive of promoting his album and has released three promotional tracks ‘Ndabatha’ ‘Sorry’ and ‘Umakwana’ featuring Saint, Marcia and BFB, respectively.
“The album tracklist is crazy; I have featured some of the best artists in Malawi and abroad. I tried my level best to do what they do, not just to match them, but I just stepped in like how a champion does,” he said.
On production, Zig Zero said he is working with Lilongwe-based Cuff-B Jimz of Big Vision Entertainment as the executive producer of the album and other producers DJ Megi and BFB.
Big Vision Entertainment Chief Executive Officer Cuff-B Jimz described Zig Zero as a mature artist.
“He has made some beautiful music along the way; so, his career has been a success overall,” Cuff-B Jimz said.
The 15-track album is expected to be released next month and will be available on platforms such as YouTube, Apple Music, Pandora and Spotify.
The artist has other songs to his credit including ‘Zikwanje ndi Zisenga’ ‘Akulu Akulu Anapita’ and ‘Mnkazi Onenepa’.
