Young people turned up in large numbers on Sunday, when they patronised DJ Moda’s Zomba Got Talent Gettoh show at Gymkhana Club.
It was an event that saw a feast of happenings, with the youth rising to the occasion to showcase their talents in disciplines such as poetry, music and dance.
Poet Rodgers Stephano was one of the outstanding acts as he won the hearts of many people with his piece titled ‘Awowo’.
Gospel musician Limbikani Mtewa, who is gearing up to launch his debut album, said he was happy to star at the event.
“I enjoyed my performance and I am looking forward to doing more. We, as budding artists, need such platforms,” Mtewa said.

DJ Moda, whose real name is Kalinga Moda, said he organised the event as part of unearthing and uplifting talent.
“It is time to help budding artists and give them platforms. We have given them the platform for free and I have also provided the equipment for free,” he said.
Councillor for Matiya Ward in Zomba Central Constituency, Munila Bakali, hailed DJ Moda for the initiative.
Gettoh Talent show happens to be the first of its kind in the city.
