Calls for internal reforms within opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) have intensified following a High Court consent judgement requiring elections for district and regional committees within 12 months.
The court delivered the judgement in Blantyre on Friday.
It followed an application by party member Lovemore Chauwa, who challenged the legality of the committees, arguing that their terms of office had expired.
