The draw for the K120 million FDH Bank Cup quarterfinals took place at Football Association of Malawi’s Mpira House in Chiwembe Township, Blantyre, with bitter rivals FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers staying clear of each other.
However, there is a possibility that the two teams could meet in the final of the competition if they win their quarterfinal and semi-final matches.
The draw pitted defending champions Bullets against the winner of the round-of-16 match between Extreme and Mbabzi United while Wanderers must overcome Zingwangwa United in the round-of-16 to book a quarterfinal date against giant killers Santhe Admarc of Kasungu District.
In an all-TNM Super League quarter-final affair, Dedza Dynamos Salima Sugar will take on Moyale Barracks while another fixture involving top flight league teams is between Bangwe All Stars and Mafco.
If Bullets progress, they will face either Dynamos or Moyale in the semis whereas the Nomads can meet either Bangwe or Mafco in the last four.

The youngster scored the decisive goal in the 15th minute to send the Civil Servants packing.
Bangwe Team Manager Steve Madeira welcomed the draw, saying there are no easy matches in the competition.
“We need to prepare well. We will not underrate any team. In the same vein, we are not going to be intimidated by any opponent,” Madeira said.
