About 280,000 civil servants have been verified in the ongoing government personnel audit, as the search for ghost workers continues, The Daily Times has learned.
The government, through the Department of Human Resource Management and Development (DHRMD), has been conducting the exercise in all ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) to flush out ghost workers and reduce the wage bill.
