All Shades of Beautiful Fashion, led by designer Xandria, returns with its third edition and this time around it is debuting at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe Friday.
The event, which has for the past two editions been held in Blantyre, is expected to feature 14 fashion brands, with Xandria part of the lineup.
Some of the designers that will also showcase their brands during the event include Christian Entwan, Nana’s Closet, Titchene Designers, Anzathu Designers, Upie’s Collection, Mwinjiro Designs, Uptown Stitches and Mwinjiro Designs.
The event will also see 20 models parading for the brands for the fashion designers.
Xandria said Wednesday that she founded All Shades of Beautiful Fashion with determination, inspired by talent of designers with disabilities and emerging artists who lacked recognition.
“Witnessing the struggles of people with disabilities sparked my mission to create adaptive fashion, envisioning a more inclusive future with innovations like magnetic buttons,” she said.
Xandria said her dream is to unite designers in this transformative movement, redefining beauty and inclusivity in fashion.
“So, on Friday [tomorrow] we call upon people to come and celebrate with us at Malawi’s grandest fashion night and witness renowned designers’ incredible talent,” she said.
During the event, Xandria, who owns House of Xandria, said they have been working with Bucci set to spice up the event.
“We have moved to Lilongwe because we also want to venture into a different market rather than just one market and audience. We want this to be known as the annual fashion show for Malawi not just for Blantyre, hence having it in Lilongwe this time around,” she said.
Xandria said in the aspect of diversification, apart having persons with disabilities, they have included plus size models.
