Harmony Arts Theatre has dared budding actors to utilise the skills that they have acquired during the four-day masterclass which it organised recently.
The masterclass, held in Lilongwe from December 27 to 31 2024, attracted 24 students.
Harmony Arts Theatre Artistic Director Romeo Mdachi decsribed the masterclass as a success and that they were looking forward to hosting more in their quest to help elevate theatre in the country.
“I would like to thank the facilitators for conducting the masterclass. From what the participants have learnt, we expect them to utilise it in their work and even share with others,” Mdachi said.

Harmony Arts Theatre has committed itself to holding masterclasses as part of capacity building.
“If we are to improve and also share ideas to grow our industry, then we need masterclasses and workshops,” Mdachi said.
One of the facilitators, Gilbert Moyo, who is the writer and producer of Fatsani film and Apongozi TV series, said the masterclass was fruitful.
“It was a great session, very impactful and practical. It was all about sharing some of the dos and donts and I am happy that the participants were able to put into practice the scripts given to them,” Moyo said.
