The High Court has ordered former Attorney General (AG) Kalekeni Kaphale and his law firm to stop representing Total Malawi Limited in a commercial dispute with Prima Fuels Limited after the current AG applied to the court, arguing that Kaphale had a conflict of interest in the matter.
In a ruling delivered in Lilongwe Monday, Judge Trouble Kalua granted an application filed by AG Frank Mbeta, who asked the court to order Messrs Kalekeni Kaphale Lawyers to cease acting for Total Malawi in Commercial Cause Number 259 of 2019.
