Straight from his success in My Booth reality show in Lusaka, where he earned $10,000 and $50,000 recording deal, Joe Kellz is set to release ‘Nthawi’ remix Wednesday.
Joe Kellz dropped the original ‘Nthawi’ in April and then decided to craft a remix in which he has collaborated with Eli Njuchi.
“The track ‘Nthawi’ talks about a failed love story which started well but, with time, everything gets broken. I would have released this song way back but it was being refined,” he said.
He said Eli Njuchi is one of the talented artists in the country and that he has always loved his music.
“I thought it wise to work with him because I wanted to breathe life into the song and, at the same time, give people something good,” the artist, who has done a number of covers including Mtebeti Wambali Mkandawire’s ‘Nkhujipereka’, said.
The song was produced by Malonie and J Mass.
Eli Njuchi, who is trending with his ‘Yabaya’ track in which he collaborated with Zambia’s Yo Maps, described Joe Kellz as a talented artist.
“I felt I needed to work with him. He is good and knows exactly what he wants,” he said before congratulating him for coming out top in My Booth reality show, whose grand finale was held on Sunday.
Joe Kellz is contemplating working on an album.
