Sounds of Malawi Acoustic Session raised its bar once again on Thursday when it featured Keturah, popularly known as Local Girl. Keturah shared the stage with budding artist Bexter.
Held at Alliance Francaise de Blantyre, Keturah treated patrons to her music, including ‘All the Way from Africa’, which she recorded in the United States of America.
The artist, who performed with her band, also took time out to introduce visitors from Scotland alongside Terry Strain, who introduced her to Jacaranda Foundation.
“I am thankful to Terry Strain because he is the one who made me know Jacaranda and, today, I am part of this family.
It is through this platform that I met with Marie Da Silva and Luc Deschamps, who made it possible for me to travel to the United States of America,” Keturah said.

Although her set as short, Keturah, who closed the curtain on the night, managed to keep patrons on the dance floor, and this was flavoured by her unique singing and dancing.
Bexter warmed up the stage, offering a number of covers, before a Scottish artist followed later.
Former host Code Sangala was also present at the concert and is expected to perform at the platform this coming Thursday.
Meanwhile, Sounds of Malawi Acoustic Session will in August debut with its festival. Alliance Francaise de Blantyre Director Luc Deschamps said Monday they were excited to finally announce the date for the free-of-charge festival, which is scheduled to be held at Nyambadwe Grounds in Blantyre City.

“We will unveil the artists later but we will have legendary and budding musicians.
There will be lots of surprises and, on top of that, we will, on the day, be launching a Sounds of Malawi Acoustic Session album which has been produced in the United States of America by Harlan Steinberger,” he said.
