Malawi Cricket National Team will today face Kenya in the semifinals of the Africa Cricket Association (ACA) T20 Africa Cup after they beat Rwanda by 46 runs yesterday in South Africa.
The other semi-final will be between Botswana and Uganda.
Ironically, Malawi started its campaign poorly after they lost to the defending champions Uganda by seven wickets.
However, Malawi defeated Mozambique by six wickets to keep their hopes of qualifying to the knockout stage alive.
In a must win game, Malawi players played with their lungs out to beat Rwanda in their final group match.

“It is our hope that they will bring the trophy home [Malawi],” Ntulumbwa said.
Malawi qualified for the ACA T20 Africa Cup finals after finishing as runners up to Botswana in the Southern Africa qualifying matches in May this year.
In the qualifying matches Malawi beat eSwatini in the opening match by 53 runs before beating Mozambique in the second match by nine wickets.

This is the second time for Malawi to qualify for the ACA T20 Africa Cup finals.
In their maiden campaign the team lost in the semi-final against Tanzania and finished on fourth position behind winners Uganda, runners-up Tanzania and third-placed Kenya.
ACA T20 finals were supposed to take place in September this year but were postponed.
